Created for the Magdelen Street festival in 2012, this piece explores creating site specific work about a building that no longer exists. The St Augustines swimming pool in Norwich was an iconic place and captured the hearts of the local residents who used to swim there.
I was interested in developing a performance that captured peoples memories and then creating a physical response to this. Working in collaboration with sound Artist Oliver Payne we interviewed the public recalling their memories. The piece has four performers in it and has been performed at The Cut in Halesworth in 2013 and The Norwich Arts Centre in 2014.
