I am a live Artist based in the Eastern Region, who makes work which is predominately site specific and experimental in nature. My work involves using elements of dance, spoken word and sound to explore nostalgia, life and death. I work both as a solo artist and collaboratively as part of a Live Art Collective Other Other Other.
My work comes from the inspiration from the theatre of the everyday. I draw on inspiration from different environments and use the functions found in these spaces as a motivation for movement. Using interdisciplinary styles of movement, site specific aesthetic and text, I aim to highlight and exaggerate human interactions from the everyday in relation to person, place and object. I enjoy and seek to blur the boundaries of performer and audience and highlight the beautiful simplicity and synchronicity of life’s everyday rituals.
